Class Descriptions
Taaj's class is geared to the dancer with solid basics. Taaj will show you how to make the most of what you've got. The class will include exercises to help you build proficiency with using dynamics changes spontaneously.
Sorsha- Learn how to take your stage face from drab to fantastic with this dynamic workshop. Sorsha will take the guesswork out of looking fabulous every single time. Bring your pictures, costumes, colors, make-up and get your questions answered. Take this class and you will never have to guess again whether your look it too subtle or too drag queen.
Kalaa- This class is designed to teach students how to incorporate choreography into an improvisational performance. Kalaa will teach students how to “map” music and find the right balance between these two aspects for a “knock ‘em dead” performance. Some combos will be taught and students will fill in the blanks.
Brianna- If you have ever been curious about how to incorporate ballet into belly dance, now is your chance to do that. Brianna's combinations borrow artistically from both dance disciplines in a way that maintains the intergrity of both and leave you looking elegant and beautiful. If you want to expand your repertoire and do something different, this is defintely it!
Lotus Niraja- Raqs Sabor! Bellydance with Latin Flavor! Latin music is a wonderful inspiration for Arabic music. Learn how to interpret Latin music and fuse it seamlessly with Middle Eastern music. Don’t just shimmy, Samba shimmy. Don’t just do a Figure -8, rhumba those 8’s! Add attitude, emotion, and modern steps to an ancient dance. Lotus Niraja, a Latina and also a salsa-bellydancer will guide you into the hottest dance steps to add to your own routines. Lotus will introduce you to familiar Arabic music that makes great use of Latin rhythms, moods, and musicality.
